Round the back of the studio is a well used but knackered stretch of canal. Scattered all along this stretch are numerous examples of broken, disused and mostly forgotten bits of things/stuff that took skill to make, skill to build and skill to put accurately in place...just saying...Steve Coel

After years of wandering around this area it was pointed out to me that these structures were actually part of an old railway and not buildings as I had always presumed. Once I'd figured out the general layout/route I couldn't help but wonder why it doesn't appear on any currently available map. Just saying...Steve Coel

I am currently working on ideas under an umbrella title of The Right Shadows(2025).
This probably means that all my Documentary Fiction Photography, MicroFlashFiction and Painting will be lumped together. At the moment I really have no focused idea where this will take me OR what I will eventually get at the end of it. Folio Boxes, Gallery rotations are probably a given as these are things I can easily show visitors to the studio, friends and other galleries, but I am recently also getting re-connected to sound/noise soundscapes, spontaneous sculpture and improvised installations...so really who knows...
Recent extended projects, The Mercy Path (2024) and Half Stolen Buildings(2024)are now complete...I think...
