it is untrue.
wisdom does not grow with age.
understanding and insight demands awareness and the
concepts that surround empathy. obligation should
enable each and everyone of us, to engage fully with
the requirements and needs within our communities.
an hours walk around the neighbourhood shows all the
shades and shapes, the movers, the shakers, the chancers,
the winners, the losers of the area. some falling between
the cracks...the gaps that exist between each moment.
snatches of conversation.
moments of aggression.
open for business. door wide. visible stock. but no customers.
clean, generic, cheap.
playing to the addiction of poverty.
escape.
vapors, legal highs - fringes to the everyday. acceptance
but no loyalty.
this is happening elsewhere, everywhere, here.
there is a change taking place and it is happening very
quickly.
one day this.
next day that.

probably a mix of both. it is the street and this is
what can be seen. heard. wonder how hard you need to look
and listen before you discover what lies underneath all this.
is it peculiarly urban?
